The reimbursement rates to be paid for expenses incurred by the TTBF for each homologous segment shipped for transplantation / implantation are established by the TTBF Board of Directors.
The cost of ordinary and emergency delivery of homologous tissue suitable for clinical use are borne by the requesting centre. Transportation is via a forwarding service chosen by the TTBF.
If a shipment of homologous tissue is found to be no longer necessary, the centre may make a written request to return it to the TTBF. Any such return must be authorised in writing by TTBF and carried out under specified conditions of transportation in order to guarantee the continued integrity and functional viability of the tissue in question.
