The Tissue Bank Foundation was pleased to welcome Dr. Andrey Barkanov, a respected surgeon from Ukraine, for an institutional visit focused on the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of tissue donation, processing, and distribution for transplantation purposes.
During the visit, Dr. Barkanov had the opportunity to learn more about the organization and activities of our Foundation, with particular attention to the processes of acceptance, preservation, and distribution of human tissues. The visit represented a valuable opportunity for dialogue between professionals working in different healthcare systems, yet united by the same mission: ensuring patients have safe and timely access to high-quality tissue-based therapies.
Discussions also addressed regulatory, logistical, and technical aspects related to the functioning of tissue banks in the respective countries, with the goal of fostering future collaborations and promoting a global culture of donation.
